Writing update

So it’s been a while since I’ve updated here on the writing. Guardian is currently still being edited, so no news on that front. Hope to have some soon though. Sadly sometimes things get in the way and that means they are slower than otherwise and I’m kinda ok with that. I really need to start planning out Circe’s Child – the next in the series, but that will have to wait because I’m working on a yet to be named piece that’s so different from my normal style and media.

It’s interesting comparing the two styles of writing as this new one is definitely more difficult. You’re more aware of certain things and it takes a lot more concentration. Concentration has never been my strong point as after a while the words start to lose all meaning to me. But I have just been diagnosed with Irlen’s Syndrome, so I’m hoping when I get my new glasses and tinted lenses the concentration will pick up and it won’t be so tiring struggling to work out what is going on in front of me.

Also had an idea for another book as I was walking to the train station the other night, but I need to file that under my ‘to be worked on later’ notes as the current two projects are what I need to be working on right now.  That said, I may find time at some point to go back to my fanfics and continue a few of them that haven’t been updated in a while.

There’s one thing for certain though, I seem to have found my comfort zone when writing, although the current project is quite literally scaring the shit out of me. But I have so much support from GC and JM on this that even when I think I can’t do this, I know I can.  It’s just fitting it around my day job. If only I could sit and write all day and not have to have that day job. I would get so much more done.  I’ve added another 880 words to the current project today. That will have to be enough for now… may add more later, but I’m starting to go a little cross eyed with it.

I shall let you know how it progresses.
